The Business Development Manager for Freight Forwarding is responsible for driving growth and expanding the customer base within the logistics and supply chain sector. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and enhancing the overall sales strategy to achieve revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective business development strategies to drive sales growth in the freight forwarding sector.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and cold outreach.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform strategic planning.
- Prepare and present proposals, contracts, and presentations to potential clients.
- Track sales performance metrics and prepare regular reports for management.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and business development within the freight forwarding industry. Key qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in sales, preferably in freight forwarding or logistics.
