Job Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. This is a mid-level position, requiring 4 to 6 years of experience. The role is based in Pune, Maharashtra, India and is a full-time position.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Business Development Manager in the Agro Industries Domain.
- Strong knowledge of the agricultural industry, including micro irrigation and agro industries.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to develop and implement business development strategies.
- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
- Expertise in customer relationship management (CRM) software.
- Ability to conduct market research and analysis.
- Proven track record of successful sales and business development.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities by prospecting, networking, and building relationships with potential clients.
- identify opportunities and develop relationships with Institutional investors and investment consultants in assigned institutional market channels.
- Develop sales strategies, set sales targets, train and mentor sales representatives, and monitor the team's performance
- Lead the business development activities, including market research, competitor analysis, and strategic planning.
- Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and other events to promote the company's products and services and generate leads.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with clients to ensure profitable deals and sustainable business relationships.
- Collaborate with the internal teams to ensure smooth project execution and client satisfaction.
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify potential business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction and loyalty.
- Stay updated with industry developments, including new technologies and market trends, to drive innovation and business growth.
