Business Development

1. Education:

A bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field may be preferred. However, some companies may consider candidates with equivalent experience.

2. Experience:

Several years of experience in logistics, dispatch, or supply chain management, with a focus on coordinating transportation and distribution operations.

Prior experience in a managerial or supervisory role is often required.

3. Industry Knowledge:

Familiarity with the acrylic emulsions industry, including an understanding of the production process, storage requirements, and transportation considerations.

4. Technical Skills:

Proficiency in using logistics and supply chain management software.

Strong computer skills, including knowledge of spreadsheet and database software for tracking and analyzing dispatch-related data.

5. Communication Skills:

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with internal teams, transportation providers, and other stakeholders.

The ability to convey information clearly and effectively is crucial for successful coordination.

6. Problem-Solving Skills:

The ability to analyze and solve problems related to transportation, scheduling, and dispatch operations.

Quick decision-making skills and the ability to handle unexpected issues in a timely and efficient manner.

7. Leadership Skills:

Strong leadership qualities to manage and motivate a team of dispatchers and logistics professionals.

The ability to foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

8. Organization and Time Management:

Strong organizational skills to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.

Effective time management skills to meet deadlines and manage a fast-paced dispatch environment.

9. Regulatory Knowledge:

Awareness of and adherence to transportation regulations and compliance requirements.

A focus on customer satisfaction and the ability to address customer inquiries or concerns related to dispatch and logistics.

11. Health and Safety Awareness:

Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to the transportation and handling of acrylic emulsions.
