Purpose:
The Expert - Business Case Validations will be responsible for evaluating and validating business cases through detailed spend assessment, opportunity assessment, and spend analytics. The individual will play a key role in categorizing procurement data using invoicing information and managing relationships with prospective clients. This role demands a deep understanding of sourcing and procurement, coupled with strong data analytics and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Spend Assessment & Opportunity Assessment:
- Analyze procurement spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for process improvement.
- Conduct thorough opportunity assessments to validate potential savings and operational efficiencies.
- Spend Analytics & Categorization:
- Perform detailed spend analytics to understand procurement patterns and categorize spending effectively.
- Use invoicing data to classify categories and streamline procurement processes.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Connect with and understand inputs from category experts to ensure accurate and relevant business case validation.
- Build and manage strong relationships with prospective clients, ensuring alignment with their needs and objectives.
- Data Analytics:
- Leverage data analytics tools to interpret procurement data and provide actionable insights.
- Develop and present detailed reports and recommendations based on data-driven analysis.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by providing expert insights into procurement strategies and business case validations.
- Ensure client satisfaction through effective communication and timely delivery of solutions.
Skills & Competencies:- Procurement Expertise:
- At least 5 years of experience in sourcing and procurement, with a strong understanding of procurement processes and best practices.
- Spend Analytics & Categorization:
- Proficiency in spend analytics, data categorization, and the use of invoicing data for classification purposes.
- Data Analytics:
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive meaningful insights.
- Effective Communication:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts clearly and concisely.
- Presentation Skills:
- Ability to create and deliver compelling presentations to stakeholders at various levels.
- Client Management:
- Proven ability to manage relationships with clients and deliver exceptional service.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in procurement consulting or a related field.
- Proficiency in relevant data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
