Two positions available - one in Zimbabwe and one in Malawi - both based in African countries. LP Gas industry experience is essential.
Zimbabwe position - USD 3300 per month
Malawi position - USD 3000 per month
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & MARKETING MANAGER (LPG/Gas Industry)
Directs, Coordinates and Manages all activities for Business Development & Marketing for the company.
Business Development:
Analyses business potential, monitors competitor activities and plans and recommends counter measures.
Develop and implement Sales & Marketing policies and procedures.
Identify and pursue new opportunities in the marketplace to grow the LPG business.
Grow the Business:
Develop relationships with key decision-makers in target organisations for business development.
Organize marketing plans and strategies to drive volumes & achieve high profitability.
Recruit, train, and develop Sales and Marketing personnel.
Duties and Responsibilities included:
- Ensure that Business Development & Marketing operations for company are in line with the companys policy
- Grow LPG sales and Revenue in line with the budgets
- Implements the business strategy by establishing a sound marketing mix to support business growth (products, pricing, promotion, and distribution)
- Develop relationships with key decision-makers in target organizations for Business Development
- Analyzing business potential, monitoring competitor activities, and planning counter measures
- Identifying and pursuing New to Industry LPG business opportunities e.g., Commerce & Industry, New Housing Developments for piped gas, etc.
- Ensure that all clients with company equipment sign supply contracts
- Be responsible for improved public image of the organization
- Ensure adherence, compliance to Industry Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) regulations & Guidelines
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction & efficiency improvements to ensure cost effective operations
- Recruit, train, motivate and develop the Business Development & Marketing team to achieve set targets
Qualifications / experience required
- Diploma in Marketing/Business
- Least 5 years experience in Business Development & Marketing field
- Experience in the LPG & Energy sector is necessary
- Leadership, Communication and People skills

- Understanding of the Industry & Business Environment
