About the job opening:

• We are looking for experienced, result driven and enthusiastic candidate to join the team of Major Projects Advisory in KPMG India.
• Position Commercial Manager
• Location Jharkhand / Chattisgarh / Uttar Pradesh

Skills Required

• Proven working experience in contract management and execution of EPC thermal power plant (Capex value above 500 Crore)
• Have thorough understanding of process from Concept to Commissioning of a thermal power plant
• Have in-depth experience in handling contract administration including claims and disputes

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage CXOs and project team with good interpersonal relationship skills
• Support client on commercial and contracts administrative aspects of an EPC based contract.
• Review project progress on daily basis and support client on overall contract administration with objective to achieve project within stipulated timeline and approved budget
• Support client on drafting claims and counter claims to vendors, contractors and owner.
• Record and analyze change in scope from Owner, Contractors and Vendors
• Maintain delay register on site which can be used as irrefutable evidence in case of disputes and claims
• Help client identify issues and risk at ground zero and develop mitigation strategies for completion of project within budget and stipulated timeline
• Provide Client handholding support till Trial run, Performance Guarantee Test and Project Handover of both the units
• Generate MIS and other Exception reports related to project progress and delay to enable Client to take swift actions/ interventions at ground zero

Qualification:

• B.E./B. Tech in Mechanical /Electrical / Instrumentation/ equivalent Min. 05 years of experience in Contract Management in large infrastructure projects (Infrastructure Project and have consultancy experience
