Good understanding of Property & Casualty and/or Life & Annuities, Group Insurance domain and work experience in at least one of the operational areas New Business, Policy Administration, Claims and Billing
In P&C domain, good knowledge in either Personal (Auto, Homeowners, Umbrella, etc.) or Commercial Lines (General Liability, Workers Compensation, Commercial Auto, Commercial Property, Business Owners, Inland Marine, Commercial Package etc.) specific to North American Geography is preferred.
Exposure to P&C custom off the shelf products like Guidewire Insurance Suite and specifically Claim Center
Should possess good amount of experience in Analysis, Requirement gathering, Elicitation, Documentation and Testing.
Willingness to undertake frequent travels - short term or long term across the globe
Good experience in developing high impact presentations (PPTs) for internal and external customers.
Ability to conduct walkthroughs, workshops and meetings involving various business stakeholders.
Ability to build and maintain client relationships, able to comfortably converse with all facets in the client's organization.
Contribution to Insurance CoE in driving RFI / RFP and other proposal activities and building knowledge capsules and training decks and imparting training
Excellent solution evaluation skills. Drive technology solutions from a holistic and business value perspective.
Exposure/Experience in Agile SCRUM and/or SAFe methodology
Roles and Responsibilities of Business Analyst/Business System Analyst
Conducting Gap Analysis and feasibility analysis during the project inception phase.
Preparing Business process flows and eliciting the business requirements and documenting comprehensive business requirements.
Work with the business stakeholders to rationalize and prioritize the business requirements.
Understanding and analyzing business expectations and conducting workshops that may involve multiple stakeholders, elicit & document requirements.
Analyze the impact of business requirements changes to the project.
Translate business requirements into software requirements specifications.
Participate in design sessions in prototyping new systems or enhancements.
Collaborate with the technical resources to ensure that the system design adequately reflects the business requirements.
Act as an Offshore SME and supporting the development and testing resources.
Preparing business scenarios and supporting artifacts for the Testing Team.
Support the creation of system test plans.
Assist with system integration and user acceptance testing.
As a business system analyst, create HLD and Architecture documents for different integrations touch points.
Assist in the facilitation of meetings between the IT and business stakeholders.
Create training decks and conduct training to an audience that is wide and who come from contrasting skill sets.
Conducting Insurance Domain training and product training for external stakeholders.
Responding to RFPs/RFIs.
Preparing detailed process flows and demo scenarios.
Preparing marketing collateral materials like presentations and demo paths.
Analyze market & technological advancements in the insurance sector and create point of views, white papers, use cases and/or working demo models.
Understanding the features, functions, and capabilities of packaged solutions in order to achieve proper business requirements alignment and adaptation to package as needed.
Analyze industry reports, create an actionable outcome that can benefit the firm at large.
