Job Summary: The Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing business data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to help drive strategic decision-making. A key part of this role is the ability to effectively utilize Power BI for data visualization and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data from various sources to identify trends and patterns.
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize key metrics and performance indicators.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders to support business decisions.
- Requirement Gathering:
- Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Document business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement.
- Project Support:
- Assist in the planning and execution of projects by providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to implement new systems or processes.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Monitor and analyze business performance to identify areas of improvement.
- Develop and track performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of business strategies.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Facilitate meetings and presentations to convey insights and recommendations.
Key Skills:
- Power BI Proficiency:
- Advanced knowledge of Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, and creating interactive dashboards.
- Ability to connect to various data sources and transform data for analysis.
- Data Analysis:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Experience with statistical analysis and data visualization techniques.
- Business Acumen:
- Understanding of business processes and the ability to identify improvement opportunities.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Communication:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving:
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.

- Project Management:
- Experience in supporting project management activities.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL and other data query languages.
- Experience with other data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) is a plus.
- Knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in a business analyst role or a related field.
- Proven experience with Power BI in a professional setting.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
- Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate
