About The Role

The Platforms Transformation Group Business Analyst for CitcoRecs will be a key member of the team and will play an integral role in designing and delivering automated processes within the organizations reconciliation tools for the Citco Group. The CitcoRecs division of Platforms Transformation is a specialized team who perform analytics, identify efficiencies, mitigate risk, and maintain Citcos competitive advantages in the industry. CitcoRecs is Citcos strategic reconciliation utility. The Business Analyst will work with the Process Design team, Process Adoption team and business unit representatives to optimize and digitize operational processes in order to deliver position bottom-line results for Citco.

About Platforms Transformation Team

Platforms Transformation Group is multi-skilled team charged with identifying, building and deploying operational solutions leveraging a suite of emerging technologies, such as Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Robotics Process Automation, Business Process Management, Reconciliation Tools, APIs and Automation.

Job Duties In Brief

  • Create creative reconciliation solutions
  • Maintain project reporting and project plans used for senior management reporting
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create new initiatives and refine existing processes that drive efficiencies
  • Create business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and software documentation
  • Assess business processes for transformation and/or automation
  • Lead discussions with stakeholders to brainstorm solutions and assess feasibility
  • Own solution design documents clearly articulating as-is and to-be states
  • Document and communicate business outcomes and gains from proposed solutions
  • Perform or review all aspects of the project life cycle including but not limited to: scoping, analyzing, developing solutions, reviewing deliverables, from executing to implementing change
  • Work with stakeholders to rollout solutions to target teams/offices
  • Review product backlog maintenance and grooming to ensure projects are managed effectively
  • Attend Scrum stand-ups, backlog grooming sessions, review and retrospective meetings
  • Ensure takeaways from retrospectives are implemented
  • Establish best practices/industry standards while designing solutions
  • Weekend testing will be required for releases (new functionality, bugs, enhancements, upgrades); generally, one or two releases are scheduled per quarter

About You

  • Undergrad degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems or related fields
  • Exceptional communications skills, both written and oral, and the ability to capture a diverse audience
  • Experience with Reconciliation processes and systems; well versed in financial instruments (both theoretical and practical application within Aexeo, WSO, Investran and/or Reconciliation tools)
  • Experience working on small or large projects (migrations, implementations, etc.)
  • Ability to multitask to effectively manage competing priorities and efficiently allocate tasks
  • Possess a strategic mindset and find motivation in creatively solving problems
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Understanding of agile project management
  • Assets:
    • Financial product knowledge and knowledge of Hedge Fund Administration
    • Experience with SmartStream TLM Recs Premium
    • Experience implementing tactical Reconciliation Solutions
    • Experience using JIRA and Confluence to manage projects
    • Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, design documentation, process flows and wireframes to clearly communicate a set of functional requirements.
    • Strong business requirement analytical skills with the ability to produce clearly articulated requirements and documents.
