Business Analyst

Job Description

Seeking a detail-oriented and experiencedLife Insurance Business Analystto join theteam withstrong understanding ofUS life insurance products, policy administration, underwriting, and claims processes. Need to work closely with stakeholders to gather business requirements, provide strategic insights, and support the development and implementation of life insurance.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Business Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders, underwriters, and product teams to understand and document business requirements,particularly related to life insurance products and processes.
• Process Improvement: Analyze existing workflows and identify areas for process optimization in policy administration,underwriting, claims, and other life insurance operations.
• Data Analysis: Evaluate data related to life insurance policies, premiums, claims, and customer demographics to provide insights and support decision-making.
• Work with team to design and implement life insurance systems, ensuring that they meet business needs and compliance requirements.
• Participate in the development of test plans, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate that life insurance systems meet business objectives.
• Act as a liaison between business teams and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project goals and progress.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of business requirements, process flows, functional specifications, and change management processes.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency with life insurance policy administration systems.
• Strong knowledge of life insurance products, underwriting, claims processing, and actuarial principles.
• Experience with business analysis tools (e.g., MS Visio, Jira, Trello, etc.).
• Familiarity with SQL for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience working with IT teams on software development projects.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex processes and recommend solutions.
