Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst with in-depth Healthcare Domain knowledge to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in business analysis within the healthcare industry and a proven track record of managing projects using Agile methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Requirement Gathering:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, ensuring alignment with healthcare standards (HIPAA, CMS, ICD-10).
- Translate business needs into functional specifications and process flows.
- Healthcare Expertise:
- Apply knowledge of healthcare operations (EHR, claims processing, clinical workflows) and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks.
- Advise on process improvements to enhance healthcare operations.
- Data Analysis:
- Analyze healthcare data to provide insights, working with teams to improve decision-making and reporting.
- Project Management Knowledge:
- Support project planning and execution by applying knowledge of Agile methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet business objectives and timelines.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Create and maintain business documentation, including BRDs, SRS, and project reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the healthcare domain, with at least 2 years of experience managing projects.
- Healthcare Knowledge: Strong understanding of healthcare industry standards, including EHR systems, clinical workflows, healthcare billing, coding (ICD-10, CPT), and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, CMS).
- Project Management: Proven experience managing projects using Agile methodologies. PMP, PMI-ACP, or similar project management certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with healthcare IT systems, databases, and analytical tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau). Experience working with EHR platforms like Epic, Cerner, or Allscripts is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex healthcare data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of delivering effective business solutions.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
- A certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) is a plus.
