We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as a crucial link between business objectives and technology solutions by analyzing business processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and driving the implementation of effective solutions. This role involves close collaboration with stakeholders to gather and document requirements, streamline processes, and ensure successful project delivery.
What You'll Do
Elicit and Document Requirements: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and prioritize business requirements.
Analyze and Improve Processes: Evaluate existing business processes, analyze data to identify trends and insights, and recommend improvements.
Assess Risks and Priorities: Evaluate the risks associated with various solutions and designs, and prioritize competing business demands effectively.
Develop Process Models: Create process models and workflows to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Recommend Innovative Solutions: Propose innovative solutions to optimize and streamline business operations.
Design and Implement Solutions: Work with technical teams to design and implement solutions that align with business requirements.
Create Specifications and Use Cases: Develop functional specifications, use cases, and user stories to guide the development process.
Ensure Quality Standards: Validate that solutions are thoroughly tested and meet established quality standards.
Facilitate Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate across functions during specification, testing, and initial implementation phases to ensure seamless delivery.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Prior experience working as a Business Analyst in Shipping and Logistics.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including business teams and external partners.
- Keen attention to detail in identifying and implementing improved workflows and solutions within software applications, with a collaborative approach to team ideas and product development.
- Proficiency in business analysis tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Visio, JIRA, and SQL).
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile and Waterfall).
- Knowledge of SoapUI and Postman is a plus.
