Role:
Be an integral part of the marketing strategy and define the critical metrics. You'll also monitor performance trends and influence any interventions, based on performance
Collaborate closely with marketing, risk and product functions to understand the business problem and translate them into the right analytical problem statement
Move past just being the Data person and contribute with individual thoughts on how to improve the critical metrics for the marketing and inputs on channel strategy, data segmentation or product funnel. We love people who think of themselves as the business owner and then goes back to the data to prove or disprove the thought
Act as the analytics and visualisation SME for the team and ensure that the dashboards built by dashboard/data team are designed and built in a way that makes it easy for the marketing team to consume the data they need.
Skill set needed:
Strong problem solving & analytical skills
Candidates who are able to explain the story behind their analysis (not on how the data was sourced but business insights) will find themselves at an advantage
Prior experience (2-3 years) working with marketing teams at a startup preferably.
Ability to write complex queries on SQL/Python to manipulate, consolidate multiple data sources for the purpose of dashboard /analysis.
Past experience with startups; strong ability to adapt and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Data tools: SQL/Python, Google analytics, Mixpanel, excel and google sheet presentation skills
Penchant for business & curiosity to understand how the business works
