Job Summary: The Senior Business Analyst in the Manufacturing domain will play a critical role in driving data-driven decision-making and operational excellence across supply chain, distribution, and logistics functions within the organization. With extensive experience in data analysis and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, the ideal candidate will excel in optimizing supply chain operations, improving distribution efficiency, and enhancing logistics strategies through advanced analytics.

Candidate is expected to have exposure to one or more of the following functional areas -
- Supply Chain Optimization: Collaborate with supply chain teams to analyze demand forecasts, inventory levels, and production schedules, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
- Distribution Strategy: Evaluate distribution networks, warehouse operations, and transportation logistics to optimize delivery routes, reduce lead times, and improve customer satisfaction.
- Logistics Management: Analyze transportation data, including freight costs, carrier performance, and delivery metrics, to optimize logistics operations and minimize transportation expenses.
- Inventory Management: Develop inventory forecasting models, optimize inventory levels, and implement inventory control strategies to balance supply and demand and reduce excess inventory holding costs.
- Quality Control: Analyze manufacturing and quality control data to identify trends, detect anomalies, and improve product quality and reliability.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks in manufacturing processes, supply chain workflows, and distribution operations, recommending and implementing process improvements and automation solutions.

- Domain Understanding: Demonstrate a strong understanding of the industry, its challenges, trends, and specific data needs.
- Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to extract valuable insights and trends specific to the industry.
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, ensuring a deep understanding of domain-specific needs.
- Data Modeling: Understand data models, and help translate complex business needs into structured data solutions.
- Business Intelligence: Understand customer's KPIs and provide analytical and business intelligence inputs to customer's data visualizations and dashboard requirements & performance metrics
- Market Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes to inform data-driven decision-making.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven solutions and initiatives.
- Data Quality: Provide inputs to the data engineering team to help ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity within the domain.
- Software & Tools: Proficiency in analytics and Data Tools, such as Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Power BI is desirable
- Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of data security and privacy regulations is needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Computer Science, Data Science).
- 10-12 years of experience in business analysis, with a strong focus on data and analytics in the industry.
- Strong functional exposure to data management, statistical analysis, and data visualization.
- Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools such as Python, R, SQL
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, collaborative team environment.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
