About the client:PSS has been mandated to hire a
BU Head - Gastro for one of the leading pharmaceutical organizations.
Purpose Of The Role
Set up the new Gastro business of the pharmaceutical organization. Overall P&L management for the Division and provide vision, leadership, and strategic direction necessary for a leadership position in the Gastro therapeutic segment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead entire Marketing & Sales function and work closely with the leadership team
- Determine in conjunction with relevant personnel the appropriate portfolio mix/focus based on optimal resource allocation, internal capability, market fit, competitive dynamics, and corporate expectations.
- Makes Budget and Sales Plans for short-term and long-term - Planning, Review and Control
- Drive national Sales & Marketing initiatives of the BU
- Formulates and reviews the execution of Marketing and Sales Plans of the BU as per budget and forecast and delegation to team members
- Conducts analyses of the market segment, including identification of key growth drivers, opportunities, and risks. This may include the determination of distribution channel solutions (including digital, social media, and inside sales)
- Work with various functions to ensure the department strategy is in line with long-term company strategy
- Makes sound commercial decisions to maximize profitability whilst maintaining brand growth and equity strength
- Monitors productivity and effectiveness KPIs of the BU on a monthly basis; initiates corrective actions where necessary
- Oversee P&L management (top line and bottom line) of the BU. Responsible for meeting the agreed and committed top-line plans for each category/brand.
- Manages relationships with KOLs and drives their behavior towards practices that are useful for the patient community
Educational Qualifications And Experience
- Minimum 18 years of Sales and Marketing experience in the pharma industry.
- Must have handled P&L for Gastro division.
- Atleast 2 years of experience as Business/Division head managing sales & marketing both.
- Any Graduate. MBA preferable but not mandatory.
