Job Summary :
The Bridal Fashion Designer will conceptualize, design, and develop bridal collections with a strong focus on Indian wedding wear, including lehengas, sarees, gowns, and other ceremonial attire. The designer will work closely with our production team to ensure high-quality output and will be responsible for capturing the brand essence in every design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Conceptualization:
- Create innovative and trendsetting bridal designs that incorporate traditional Indian motifs, embroidery, and textiles.
- Develop design sketches, mood boards, and color palettes, ensuring designs align with the season's theme and the brand's aesthetics.
- Material & Fabric Selection:
- Research and select appropriate fabrics, embellishments, and color combinations that enhance the overall bridal experience.
- Collaborate with suppliers to source luxurious and unique materials suitable for Indian wedding wear.
- Production & Quality Control:
- Work with artisans and production teams to ensure each piece meets quality standards and brand guidelines.
- Oversee fitting sessions and make adjustments as needed to perfect the fit and finish of each design.
- Trend & Market Analysis:
- Stay updated with the latest bridal fashion trends, particularly within the Indian wedding wear segment.
- Research global and local fashion trends to keep the collection relevant and appealing to modern brides.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work with the merchandising team to ensure collections align with client demand and retail expectations.
- Communicate design concepts effectively with team members, production partners, and senior management.
- Client Engagement:
- Engage directly with clients to create bespoke bridal designs, ensuring each bride's vision is brought to life.
- Conduct consultations with clients to understand their preferences, body types, and wedding themes.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in bridal fashion design, specifically Indian wedding wear.
- Proficient in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop).
- Strong knowledge of Indian textiles, embroidery techniques, and traditional wedding attire.
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to convey design ideas effectively.
- High level of creativity and attention to detail.
