Bookkeeper / Accountant (UK / US Accounting)

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting Operations

• Process and record daily transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and expense reports.
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and general ledger entries.
• Maintain accuracy and compliance with UK/US accounting standards and tax regulations.

1. Use of Accounting Software

• Manage accounts on QuickBooks and/or Xero, ensuring all entries are up-to-date and error-free.
• Prepare and generate financial reports, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Utilize software functions for budget tracking, expense management, and financial forecasting.

1. Financial Data Analysis

• Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data to support strategic decision-making.

1. Reporting & Presentation

• Prepare financial summaries and presentations tailored to management and stakeholder needs.
• Present data in a clear, concise, and visually appealing manner, using software tools for charts and visualizations.

1. Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure compliance with financial and tax regulations in the UK and/or US.
• Organize and maintain accurate financial records, invoices, and documentation for audits and regulatory reviews.

1. Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Implement best practices in accounting workflows and software use.
