Job Title: BIOS Engineer UEFI and Coreboot
Location: Bangalore
Experience: 4-9 Years
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain UEFI and Coreboot firmware for various hardware platforms.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to define and implement system initialization procedures.
- Conduct debugging and troubleshooting of firmware issues, including boot performance and hardware compatibility.
- Optimize firmware for performance, reliability, and security.
- Implement and maintain firmware update mechanisms and recovery features.
- Document firmware architecture, interfaces, and development processes.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in BIOS and firmware development.
Required Skills
- Familiarity with open-source firmware development and contribution (e.g., Coreboot, TianoCore).
- Experience with platform-specific firmware features and protocols (e.g., ACPI, SMBIOS).
- Understanding of hardware interfaces (e.g., PCIe, I2C, SPI).
- Knowledge of software development methodologies, including Agile.
