Team - Core Values

M.B.T focus (Modular Building Technology)

We are committed to building fast, safe, intuitive beneficial MBT that will have a massive positive impact on people's future.

Anything that doesn't help with that is out of scope.

Intense and scrappy

Building something exceptional requires hard work (often on unglamorous stuff) and urgency; everything (that we choose to do) is important.

Be unpretentious and do what works; find the best ideas wherever they come from.

Scale

We believe that scalein our models, our systems, ourselves, our processes, and our ambitionsis magic. When in doubt, scale it up.

Make something people love

Our technology and products should have a transformatively positive effect on people's lives.

Team spirit

Our biggest advances, and differentiation, come from effective collaboration in and across teams. Although our teams have increasingly different identities and priorities, the overall purpose and goals have to remain perfectly aligned.

Nothing is someone else's problem.

The Role

We are searching for a BIM Engineer with expertise in Autodesk Revit and Advance Steel to play a pivotal role in our mission to revolutionize personal construction through modular building technology. You will be responsible for creating high-quality, information-rich 3D models of pre-engineered steel (PEB) buildings, PUF panel cladding systems, and precast concrete foundations. These models will be instrumental in supporting the engineering team's generation of accurate manufacturing, fabrication, and construction drawings.

Your Responsibilities Aligned with Modular Construction Phases:

Pre-Construction Phase:

  • Develop BIM Execution Plan (BEP) Aligned with ISO 19650: Collaborate with the team to define BIM software, workflows, Level of Detail (LOD) requirements for each project stage specific to PEB, precast, and cladding elements, communication protocols, and information exchange processes following ISO 19650 guidelines.
  • Create 3D Models of PEB Steel Buildings: Utilize Revit to develop detailed and accurate 3D models of PEB structures, incorporating precise dimensions, member sizes, connections, and material specifications. Ensure all information aligns with ISO 19650's data structuring requirements for steel elements.
  • Model Precast Concrete Foundations: Develop detailed Revit models of precast concrete foundations, including precast element profiles, connection details, and embedded elements (rebars, anchor points). Consider ISO 19650's data structuring requirements for concrete elements.
  • Model PUF Panel Cladding Systems: Create accurate 3D models of PUF cladding systems within Revit, including panel types, thicknesses, layouts, and connections to the primary structure.
  • Clash Detection and Resolution: Identify and address potential clashes between PEB steel elements, precast components, cladding systems, andother building elements within the Revit model. This ensures seamless integration during fabrication and on-site assembly.
  • Generate Manufacturing & Fabrication Drawings with Detailing: Utilize Revit and Advance Steel to generate comprehensive 2D shop drawings for PEB steel components. These drawings must adhere to international steel detailing standards and include precise dimensions, bending schedules, hole locations, and other fabrication requirements. In collaboration with the engineering team, develop fabrication drawings for precast concrete elements.
  • Precast Rebar Detailing: Detail precast concrete reinforcement (rebars) within the Revit model, ensuring accurate positioning, bending requirements, and bar schedules for fabrication.

Construction Phase:

  • Coordination and Collaboration using a CDE (Common Data Environment): Facilitate communication and collaboration between architects, engineers, and fabricators using a central Common Data Environment (CDE) platform as mandated by ISO 19650. This ensures all parties are working with the latest information and potential issues are identified and resolved promptly.
  • Logistics Planning with BIM and Sequential Assembly: Utilize BIM models to plan efficient transportation and logistics for PEB steel components, precast elements, and cladding systems, considering weight, dimensions, and stacking configurations. Ensure the Revit model reflects the sequential assembly process for on-site construction.
  • On-Site Assembly Support with ISO 19650 Compliance: Provide technical support during on-site assembly by referencing the BIM model for guidance on PEB steel erection, precast concrete placement, and cladding installation. Ensure all elements are assembled according to ISO 19650 handover protocols.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • BIM Standards and Training: Contribute to developing and maintaining company-specific BIM standards and protocols that align with ISO 19650 and other relevant international modular building codes. Potentially provide training to colleagues on BIM workflows, best practices, compliance procedures & BIM data management effectively throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring version control, accessibility for relevant stakeholders, and adherence to ISO 19650's requirements specific to PEB, precast, and cladding systems.
  • Staying Current with Technology and Standards: Continuously learn and adapt to advancements in BIM software (Revit, Advance Steel), methodologies, and updates to ISO 19650 and international modular building codes to ensure the firm utilizes the latest tools and remains compliant with evolving standards.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master's in Civil / Structural / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
  • Proficient in the use of the following combinations of software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Advance Steel, and Nashworks.
  • Understanding of modular construction principles and offsite fabrication processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of building codes, international modular codes, ISO 19650 principles and COBie.

Behavioural Tendency

Synergy with Vision, Passion for positive contribution to humanity, Availability, Responsibility, Versatility, Resourcefulness, Thoroughness & Attention to Detail, Team spirit & being the change you want to see.
