- Job Summary: As a Billing and Estimation Engineer at PDC Buildcon, you will be responsible for preparing accurate project estimates and managing billing processes. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure that all financial aspects of the project are handled efficiently and transparently. Your expertise will be crucial in helping the company maintain profitability and achieve its financial objectives.
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to determine project scope and requirements.
Develop and maintain cost databases and estimation models to ensure consistency and accuracy in project costing.- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to review project progress, identify potential cost overruns, and implement cost-control measures.
Prepare and submit billing invoices to clients in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract terms.
- Monitor and track project expenses, including materials, labor, and subcontractor costs, to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
Review and verify subcontractor and supplier invoices for accuracy and compliance with project contracts.- Coordinate with the finance department to ensure timely and accurate recording of project costs and revenues.
Assist in the preparation of project financial reports and forecasts for management review.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate smooth project execution and resolve any billing or estimation issues.
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and advancements in construction estimation and billing techniques.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.- Minimum of 4 years of experience in construction estimation and billing.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost estimation techniques.
- Proficiency in estimation software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Bluebeam, MS Excel).
Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with a keen attention to detail.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of contract management and billing procedures.
Familiarity with construction project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera) is a plus.
