A BigPanda Specialist is responsible for implementing, configuring, and maintaining BigPanda's AI Ops platform to enhance IT operations by automating incident management, reducing alert noise, and ensuring system reliability. This role bridges IT operations, development teams, and business stakeholders to streamline incident response and monitoring processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Platform Implementation and Configuration:
- Set up and configure the BigPanda platform to integrate with monitoring tools, ITSM systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira), and infrastructure components.
- Customize correlation patterns and enrichment logic to align with the organization's needs.
- Alert Management:
- Centralize and deduplicate alerts from multiple monitoring sources using BigPanda.
- Configure automation rules to reduce alert fatigue and improve incident prioritization.
- Incident Management:
- Streamline incident detection, correlation, and resolution workflows using BigPanda.
- Monitor incident trends and proactively address root causes to minimize downtime.
- Data Integration:
- Integrate BigPanda with third-party systems and tools to ensure seamless data flow.
- Work with APIs, connectors, and custom scripts for effective integration.
- Collaboration and Training:
- Act as a liaison between IT operations, DevOps, and development teams to ensure effective usage of BigPanda.
- Provide training and support to end-users and stakeholders on BigPanda functionalities.
- Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
- Analyze platform performance and recommend improvements to workflows and configurations.
- Generate reports and dashboards to track IT operations metrics, such as MTTR (Mean Time to Resolution).
- Compliance and Best Practices:
- Ensure the platform complies with organizational policies and industry standards.
- Stay updated on BigPanda's new features and AI Ops trends to implement best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong understanding of BigPanda's AI Ops platform and its core features (alert correlation, automation, and enrichment).
- Experience with monitoring tools like Nagios, New Relic, AppDynamics, Splunk, Datadog, or SolarWinds.
- Familiarity with ITSM platforms like ServiceNow, Jira, or Remedy.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash) and RESTful APIs for customization.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
- Ability to analyze IT operations data to identify trends and improvement areas.
- Experience with root cause analysis and troubleshooting in large-scale IT environments.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in IT Operations, DevOps, or similar roles.
