Responsibilities
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strong experience of minimum 5+ years in Snowflake & Snowpipe having over all 9 to 12 years of experience as a data engineer, database developer, or similar role, with a focus on data warehousing and analytics.
- Talend experience is a plus.
- Big data experience with restaurant industry as a plus.
- Optimize Snowflake performance by tuning SQL queries, optimizing data loading processes, and implementing best practices for data modelling and schema design.
- Implement ETL/ELT into Snowflake using tools such as Snowflake's native functionalities, Snowpipe.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with database technologies such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools and methodologies, such as Talend, Informatica, or custom scripting using Python, SQL, or Spark.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modelling, and data integration techniques.
- Implement data governance and security policies within Snowflake, including role-based access control, data encryption, and data masking techniques.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data quality, data consistency, and data integrity within Snowflake data warehouses.
- Snowflake certification(s) such as SnowPro Core or SnowPro Advanced is a plus.
