- The Bid Manager will be responsible for managing the end-to-end process of preparing and submitting bids for government and commercial tenders
- This role requires expertise in handling tender documentation, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring timely submission and follow-up on proposals
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure services and experience with the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal/e-tendering portals
Key Responsibilities:
Tender Management:
- Select and review tenders from the GeM portal and other e-tendering platforms.
- Prepare and submit various types of bank guarantees, including bid security and performance guarantees.
- Develop and review technical and commercial proposals, ensuring compliance with tender requirements.
- Upload technical specifications and necessary documents to online bidding platforms.
Order Loading and Processing:
- Create and process sales orders (SO) using SAP tools.
- Coordinate with production departments and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Coordination and Communication:
- Work closely with the sales, purchase, technical support, operations, and service teams to gather necessary information and ensure a smooth bid process.
- Liaise with OEMs (e.g., HP, Cisco, Dell etc.) for technical clarifications and product specifications.
- Prepare and share management information system (MIS) reports and key decision-making data with the sales team.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure all bid and tender documentation meets regulatory and company standards.
- Track and manage tender details, maintaining accurate records of all bids and submissions.
- Generate and present detailed request for proposals (RFP) and compliance documents for internal and external review.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor s degree in a relevant field (e.g., IT, Business Administration). An MBA or related discipline is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years in the IT industry, particularly in IT infrastructure services.
- Proven experience in managing tenders and bids on the GeM portal.
Hands-on experience with SAP and other ERP tools.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
