Identify, target and develop new customers to increase company revenue focusing on Design & Supply market
Establishes relationships with customers to become their key point of contact at client
Provide customers with appropriate specification and quotations for their needs
Takes full responsibility for all work and quotations issued to clients being correct
Takes full responsibility for all work you bring into the office
Give clear direction client designers working on your projects to ensure fast and accurate turnaround.
Assist customers with all project design enquires and ensure design work is completed and issued to them in the requested project timescales
Ensure profitability of all projects and maintain target GP on all projects
Assist customers with all technical product enquires
Reply to customer correspondence promptly and professionally in order to maintain and develop customer relationships and increase revenue.
Research potential new customers via networking, press, media and through existing contacts, Make contact with new customers to discuss exploring opportunities.
Update the Directors on number of meetings and potential for new business
Manages key customer accounts and customers allocated
Work to turn customer meetings into projects and sales
Analyse market trends in terms of products and design and ensure customers and client Lighting benefit from new opportunities and continually improving end results to maintain the company as a market leader.
Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations
Protect client's value by keeping information confidential
Update job and market knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
Enhance client's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
To attend company meetings as required by the Directors
To regularly attend networking events including but limited to ALL industry events whether during or outside of working hours. Use these events to identify and target new business opportunities
To assist with fault finding, commissioning and programming on projects as required.
Attend the handover of all your clients projects and liaise with the client and contractor team to ensure they are satisfied and are committed to client for the next project.
Preferrable candidates,
Prior lighting design/sales experience.
Lighting/Architectural products industry.
Well connected to specifiers (Architects, Interior designers, Contractors, Builders, Electrical consultants).
Knowledgeable about lighting design softwares (Dialux etc.)
