Job Description

Profile Brief:

The Government Sales Specialist will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and lead generation

within the government sector. The candidate will manage the sales process for tenders, including documentation and

submission, and provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to management on a regular basis.

  • Manage and oversee the sales process for tenders, including documentation and submission.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to management on a regular basis.
  • Deliver presentations and demonstrations to prospective clients and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other teams, including technical and project management, to meet customer needs and deliver on sales goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base in the government
  • sector.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with government departments.
  • Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations.
  • Understand the tender process in government departments and participate in bidding and tender submissions.
  • Lead a team to drive new sales opportunities and manage the entire sales cycle from prospecting.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the IT & Software sector.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of the government tender process.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and lead a sales team.
