Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about coffee, possess strong leadership skills, and have a knack for sales and customer service.
Responsibilities:
Barista Duties:
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and beverages according to company standards.
- Trained in brewing techniques, latte art, and customer service.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the cafe's coffee preparation area.
Sales Management:
- Develop and implement strategies to increase cafe sales and revenue.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for coffee beans, equipment, and supplies.
- Analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
Customer Service:
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional manner.
- Build and maintain relationships with regular customers, ensuring a welcoming and friendly atmosphere in the cafe.
Team Leadership:
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff members.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and excellence.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a barista in a fast-paced cafe environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and espresso equipment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years of experience as a Barista in a high-volume coffee shop
- Excellent knowledge of coffee brewing and espresso equipment maintenance
- Ability to create new and innovative coffee drinks
- Good understanding of customer service principles and ability to provide excellent service
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders at once
- Higher Secondary Certificate or equivalent or more higher degree.
- Experience in food and beverage preparation or customer service preferred.
- Training and willingness to continue learning about food and beverage preparation.
- Exceptional listening and communication skills.
- Ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Availability to work around peak hours, including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- A polite, engaging personality.
- Commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence.
- Willingness to work as part of a high-energy, efficient team in a fast-paced environment.
