Job Title: Barista

As a Barista at Epic Poetry Cafe, you will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service and crafting outstanding beverages. You will be responsible for preparing coffee and tea drinks, handling customer transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Prepare and Serve Beverages: Brew and serve a variety of coffee and tea drinks, including espresso-based beverages, pour-overs, and cold brews, following standardized recipes and techniques.
- Customer Service: Greet customers with a friendly attitude, take and process orders accurately, and provide recommendations based on customer preferences.
Manage Transactions:
Handle cash and electronic payments, issue receipts, and accurately manage the register.Stock Management:
Monitor and replenish inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies, and assist with receiving and storing deliveries.Adhere to Safety Standards: Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and hygiene practices.
Experience: Previous barista or customer service experience preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, a friendly and professional demeanor, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge:* Basic understanding of coffee and tea preparation is a plus; eagerness to learn and develop skills is essential.
