Overview :
Garden City Cafeteria is seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Barista/Chef. We offer a competitive salary slab ranging from 10,000/- to 15,000/- based on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities:
Barista Duties:
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso drinks, brewed coffee, and specialty drinks.
- Ensure quality and consistency in coffee preparation and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station and equipment.
- Provide exceptional customer service, taking orders accurately and efficiently.
Chef Duties:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and customer orders.
- Ensure food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop and enhance menu offerings.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to minimize waste and ensure availability.
General Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers with menu selections and dietary preferences.
- Operate POS systems to process orders and handle transactions.
- Uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the cafeteria.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as needed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a barista and/or chef in a caf or restaurant setting.
- Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and espresso machine operation.
- Proficiency in culinary skills, including food preparation and cooking.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Certification in food handling and barista training is advantageous.
