Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bank Reconciliation Specialist (BRS) to join our Treasury Department. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in finance and accounting, with proven experience in bank reconciliation processes. As a BRS, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records by reconciling bank statements with our internal accounting systems.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are promptly resolved.
- Identify and investigate variances between bank statements and internal records, including outstanding checks, deposits in transit, and other discrepancies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve outstanding items and discrepancies, including finance, accounts payable, and accounts receivable departments.
- Monitor and analyze bank balances and cash flow positions to identify potential issues or discrepancies and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Prepare and maintain documentation of reconciliation processes, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements, providing accurate and timely information to management and stakeholders.
- Develop and implement process improvements to streamline bank reconciliation processes and enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, regulations, and technology advancements related to bank reconciliation processes, and implement relevant changes as necessary.
- Provide training and support to junior staff members on bank reconciliation procedures and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
- Proven experience in bank reconciliation processes, preferably in a treasury or finance environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Must have SAP Exposure
