The Baking Chef will be responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and other desserts, ensuring that all items meet Froot Coffee's high standards of quality, taste, and presentation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking, creativity in the kitchen, and a strong understanding of baking techniques and trends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Baking and Pastry Preparation: Prepare a wide range of baked goods such as bread, cakes, cookies, muffins, pastries, and other desserts according to the restaurant's recipes and standards.
- Creativity in Baking: Develop new and innovative baked items that align with Froot Coffee's brand, incorporating seasonal ingredients and trends in the baking industry.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all baked goods are made to the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation.
- Ingredient Management: Measure and mix ingredients according to precise recipes and adjust as needed to ensure quality. Manage the inventory of baking supplies and ingredients, ensuring freshness and availability.
- Timing and Scheduling: Plan and manage baking schedules to ensure that freshly baked items are ready for service each day, especially during peak hours.
- Kitchen Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient baking station, ensuring that all equipment and tools are properly cleaned and stored after use.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines to ensure the cleanliness and safety of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff to coordinate baking needs with other menu items and ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Customer Feedback: Monitor customer preferences and feedback regarding baked goods, adjusting recipes and offerings to meet customer expectations.
