Backend Engineer

Stitchflow is looking for a Backend Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the server-side components of Stitchflow and third-party integrations. The ideal candidate is passionate about developing robust and scalable backend systems, detail-oriented, and a critical thinker. We are looking for candidates with experience in backend development, including API design, database management, and server-side logic, who are ready to help enhance the performance and reliability of Stitchflow.

• Design, develop, and maintain server-side logic and systems.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
• Debug and solve critical production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the company to build new features, while improving internal engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
• Implement security best practices to protect data and prevent unauthorized access.
• Monitor and improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of our backend systems.
• Participate in design and architecture discussions to ensure cohesive development across the stack.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively in a distributed and remote team.

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of backend engineering experience at SaaS company.
• Strong proficiency in one of our server-side programming languages (Python or Node.js).
• Significant experience solving difficult system design problems.
