Role Overview: We are seeking a Backend Engineer with strong DevOps skills to join our engineering team. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining robust backend systems and ensuring seamless deployment and management across AWS environments. Key Responsibilities:

Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain backend services to support platform features, with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and scalability.

DevOps & Infrastructure Management: Manage infrastructure and deployments using Terraform, Jenkins, and AWS to ensure robust and consistent environments across development, staging, and production.

API Development: Build and optimize REST and GraphQL APIs, ensuring secure, efficient data handling and seamless communication across platform components.

Automation & CI/CD: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins to support efficient, automated deployments and streamline development workflows.

Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting: Monitor and optimize backend performance, troubleshoot issues as they arise, and implement improvements for scalability and efficiency.

Qualifications:

Backend Expertise: Proven experience in backend development, with a strong understanding of Node.js, cloud native functions and services, and PostgreSQL.

Cloud Infrastructure Proficiency: Extensive experience with AWS services, including ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, and CloudFront.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Solid experience with Terraform for managing and provisioning AWS environments.

CI/CD Pipeline Management: Skilled in building and managing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or similar tools.

Security & Reliability Mindset: Strong understanding of security best practices and strategies to ensure secure, reliable backend systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

Agile Environment Experience: Comfortable working in a startup or agile environment, adapting quickly to changing requirements and priorities.

Effective Communication: Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively within a cross-functional team.

Monitoring & Logging: Experience with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Grafana, or Prometheus for application and infrastructure monitoring.
