Job Summary
NetApp's Astra is a new and exciting Application Data Management product portfolio for Kubernetes workloads, uniquely positioned in the industry to help our customers in their Hybrid cloud journey.
NetApp's Astra Program is looking for talented software engineers to join our team. We are looking for someone who can thrive as part of a high-performance team delivering creative solutions to the most profound data challenges that customers face. You will develop and test managed services to be deployed as containers in Kubernetes and work with various public and private cloud providers.
NetApp nurtures your ambition and career goals thereby enabling ownership of customer problems and design challenges that challenge your abilities eventually leading to world class products in cloud Native space. In this role, you will need to be a leader, a visionary, and the voice of the customer.

Job Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience in cloud technologies, containers, and orchestration frameworks like Kubernetes.
- Ability to work independently on low-level designs, develop and test
- Strong programming skills in Go
- Experience with working in any of the public cloud providers like AWS, Azure or GCP
- REST API design and implementation
- Agile software development practices
- Experience in software design and development and a strong understanding of complex concepts related to computer architecture, data structures, and programming practices
- Linux and Unix-like Operating System
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Python
- Strong oral and written communication skills are essential
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and demonstrate strong influencing and leadership skills
- Strong aptitude for learning new technologies
Job Responsibilities:
- Engage and participate in design discussions to address problems that are unstructured and undefined
- To participate in any and/or all phases of the product development cycle from product definition and design, through implementation and test design
- Good team player and willing to up the game for peers and team
Education
- Typically requires a minimum of 5- 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in related field.
