Back End Intern - Summer Internship

Position Summary

The Research & Development team at PostCare.AI, based out of Bengaluru, India, is looking for an outstanding, creative and highly self-motivated back-end intern. We are looking for skilled and passionate back-end intern to join our dynamic team. This internship will focus on backend development using TypeScript, integrating MongoDB databases, and collaborating closely with our frontend team to deliver seamless web applications. You should be able to translate our company and customer needs into functional and appealing interactive applications.

Position Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend functionality using TypeScript.
• Integrate MongoDB to manage application data.
• Work closely with the frontend team to ensure APIs are optimized for speed and scalability.
• Participate in the design and architecture of new features and enhancements.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving bugs and performance issues.
• Document code development and revisions.

Required Skills

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor's program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of TypeScript and Node.js.
• Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with RESTful API integration.
• Ability to write clean and well-documented code.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Prior internship or project experience in software development is a plus.
• Working knowledge of Golang and Python is a plus.
• Prior experience of being in a Full-Stack position is a plus.
• Knowledge of hosting application on Google Cloud Platform is a plus.

Pay Scale and Job Duration

Our total rewards programs are designed to motivate and engage exceptional talent. The base pay range for roles at this level is listed below but may be higher or lower in other states due to geographic differentials in the labour market. The base pay is to primarily support university students live their life well.

• Base Pay 15,000 INR monthly stipend

You will be required to work 30 hours/week with a certain flexibility to the mid semester and final semester exams. The total duration of the internship is 6 months, under which the first three months will be considered under probation and extended based on performance.

Essential Job Functions

This position is a remote position. The position will require you to communicate with your team virtually over video calls. You will be primarily working on building the backend side of the application and enhancing the overall experience by seamless integration to the Front-End. You would be directly reporting to the CTO of the company and will be closely involved in product development.
