Your role as a Back End Developer at Xsens
As a Back-end Developer, you will be responsible for accelerating our cloud development in the fields of sport science and health often related to biomechanics. You will be part of a team working on a new groundbreaking product on which you can leave your mark. You will focus on the architecture development and software design patterns while also being actively involved in the implementation of new applications. You are up to date with the latest developments in your field and you know how to motivate and inspire your colleagues.
You will be part of the Engineering team. You will be working in an Agile/Scrum team together with our external partner in cloud development. You will be based in Bangalore, India
Key Challenges
- Lead the effort to build the back end system
- Make best-fit designs that help scale non linearly and efficiently
- Follow industry-leading software development practices and set the tone for the team
- Write Production quality code and ensure code quality at the highest level
- Write relevant unit/automated tests for adequate code coverage
- Work with the QA team to design integration/system test cases
- Communicate with all the relevant stakeholders in a timely manner
Your Skills And Experience
Xsens is looking for a flexible and detail oriented Back-end Developer. Someone who thrives in an environment where your proactive and can-do attitude are highly appreciated. You have:
- 6-10 years relevant experience
- Well versed with building scalable products using cloud-native architecture
- Ability to build product based on excellent software engineering practices
- Experience in Java version 8 and above /Python or similar languages
- Extensive experience on AWS - ( Autoscaling, Lambda, S3, Key Management, Audit, Monitoring, etc). Azure experience desirable
- Experience in Frameworks such as Springboot, Spring Cloud, Flask, etc desirable
- Experience in REST, Messaging JMS, etc highly desirable
- Prior Experience in some of the open-source frameworks in Data Pipelines, Data Modelling, Distributed Data Processing required ( Docker, Kubernetes, Airflow, Spark, Kafka, Hadoop/EMR, etc. )
- Strong SQL and Data modeling skills, experience in Datawarehouse such as Redshift/Snowflake/Vertica is highly desirable
- Prior experience in handling large data sets in production environments
- DevOps, Agile experience
- CI/CD
