Job Summary:
The API Integration Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing APIs for integrating various applications and systems. The API Integration Developer will work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop specifications, and ensure the successful integration of APIs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement APIs for integrating various applications and systems.
- Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop specifications.
- Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code for the APIs.
- Test and debug the APIs to ensure they are functioning properly.
- Optimize the APIs for performance and scalability.
- Document the APIs and provide support to users.
- Keep up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to API development.
Requirements:
- Proven experience developing APIs for integrating applications and systems.
- Strong programming skills in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
- Experience with API standards such as REST, SOAP, and GraphQL.
- Knowledge of database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
- Strong understanding of software development principles such as version control, testing, and continuous integration.
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of security best practices for API development.
- Experience with API management platforms such as Apigee, Mulesoft, or Kong.
