Seeking a self-driven professional with a strong ownership mentality and the ability to work independently without constant guidance. The ideal candidate will have an agile mindset, capable of swiftly responding to requests such as data modelling or data acquisition, demonstrating a proactive approach in problem-solving.

Experience: 6+ Years

Technical Skills:

6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience with Azure data services

Strong understanding of data engineering principles, data modelling, and data warehousing concepts

Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Azure Data bricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Lake Storage

Experience with data ingestion, transformation, and integration using Azure tools and technologies

Knowledge of data quality, data governance, and data security best practices

Ability to design and implement scalable and performant data architectures

Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure Table Storage

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python for data processing and automation

Familiarity with Medallion architecture for data process migration, ensuring efficient and structured data flows.

Strong experience in managing stakeholder expectations through effective business communication and should have experience in leading a team

Good to Have:

Experience working in the CPG industry, with an understanding of retail specific data challenges and opportunities

Knowledge of big data technologies, such as Apache Spark and Hadoop, and their integration with Azure services

Familiarity with data visualization tools, such as Power BI or Tableau, for creating dashboards and reports

Experience with DevOps practices, such as version control, continuous integration, and continuous deployment using Azure DevOps

Certification in Azure Data Engineering or related areas.

Soft Skills:

Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide and develop a team of junior data engineers

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, business analysts, and stakeholders

Problem-solving and analytical mindset, with the ability to identify and resolve complex data challenges

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks based on business impact

Proactive and self-motivated, with a desire to continuously learn and stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering
