Are you an experienced data engineer looking for a new challenge If so, our client is seeking a talented Azure Data Engineer to join our team and help drive our data engineering efforts to the next level.
As an Azure Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based data solutions using Azure services. You will work closely with our development and data science teams to design and implement data pipelines, data models, and data integration strategies to ensure our data is accurate, reliable, and accessible.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and robust data pipelines using Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Develop and maintain data models to support analytics and reporting needs.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand their data needs and build data solutions to support their work.
- Work closely with the development team to ensure that data engineering best practices are followed in the development process.
- Optimize and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure performance and reliability.
- Document and communicate data engineering processes and best practices to the wider team.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5+ years of experience working as a data engineer, preferably in a cloud-based environment.
- Strong experience with Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or other programming languages commonly used in data engineering.
- Experience with data modeling and database design.
- Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
- Developing and maintaining data lake using Data bricks and data warehouse schematics, layouts, architectures and relational/non-relational databases for data access and Advanced Analytics.
