Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure Data Architect to join our team. As an Azure Data Architect, you will play a key role in designing and implementing data solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data architecture, a deep understanding of Azure data services, and the ability to develop scalable and efficient data solutions that meet business requirements.
Responsibilities:
Data Architecture and Design:
Lead the design and architecture of data solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform.
Define and implement data models, data flows, and data storage solutions based on business requirements.
Azure Data Services:
Expertise in leveraging Azure data services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and others to build comprehensive data solutions.
Design and implement data pipelines for data processing and transformation.
Big Data and Analytics:
Architect and implement solutions for big data processing and analytics using Azure technologies.
Utilize tools like Azure HDInsight, Apache Spark, and Azure Data Factory for large-scale data processing.
Data Governance and Security:
Implement data governance practices and ensure compliance with security and privacy requirements.
Design and implement access controls, encryption, and auditing mechanisms for data protection.
Data Integration and ETL:
Develop and implement efficient data integration and ETL processes.
Ensure seamless data flow between on-premises and cloud-based systems.
Performance Optimization:
Optimize data solutions for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
Conduct performance tuning and implement best practices for data storage and retrieval.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and IT teams to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
Provide guidance and support to data engineers and analysts.
Documentation:
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data architectures, data models, and data processes.
Ensure documentation is kept up-to-date with changes in the data environment.
