As the Azure Cloud Engineer, you will be Assisting the design, implementation, and support of our Azure cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our cloud-based applications and services. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Azure services, and a passion for driving results in a dynamic environment.
- Design, implement, and Support Azure cloud solutions and other cloud technologies. to support business objectives.
- Troubleshoot operational issues, escalate as appropriate and offer solutions.
- Implementation and support for Networking, Databases, Software, and Servers in the Cloud.
- Perform risk assessments of existing and new technology deployments.
- Assist with the establishment of standards, tools, and processes to be used by the team and create procedures to guarantee adherence and compliance to those standards.
- Develop, document, and understand internal IT processes and procedures.
- Maintain cloud architecture best practices, standards, and policies.
- Ensure timely resolution of issues, responsible for communicating with all impacted parties the status and resolution of all issues.
- Monitor and optimize Azure resource utilization, performance, and costs.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure the availability, reliability, and scalability of cloud-based applications.
- Implement security controls and compliance measures to protect cloud resources and data.
- Evaluate new Azure services and technologies to drive innovation and efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members to foster professional growth and development.
- Collaborate with application development, network/security, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration within the production environment, including validation planning, validation testing coordination, and reporting production readiness for deployment.
- Ensure timely resolution of issues, responsible for communicating with all impacted parties the status and resolution of all issues.
- Communicate with customers and notify them of impending changes or agreed outages.
- Keep current on new technologies and advancements in current technologies.
- Assists with special projects or other duties as assigned.
- Min 7+ yrs of relevant experience
- Strong understanding of Azure services, including compute, storage, networking, security, and governance.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (eg, PowerShell, Azure CLI) preferred.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and methodologies is a plus.
