Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Access Management Engineer with a strong background in Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) and Ping Identity/Okta to join our team. The Access Management Engineer will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining access management solutions that ensure the security and efficiency of our organization's digital resources. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of identity and access management concepts, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Identity and Access Management (IAM) Strategy:
- Develop and execute an IAM strategy that aligns with the organization's security and business objectives
- Azure Active Directory Management:
- Design and implement Azure AD configurations, policies, and security controls
- Manage user accounts, groups, and roles within Azure AD
- Monitor Azure AD for security events and respond to incidents
- Ping Identity and Okta Integration:
- Configure and maintain Ping Identity and Okta platforms to provide Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) solutions
- Integrate applications and services with Ping Identity and Okta for seamless access control
- Access Governance:
- Implement access control policies and entitlement management
- Review and optimize access permissions to ensure least privilege access
- Incident Response:
- Respond to access-related incidents and security breaches promptly
- Investigate and mitigate security threats related to access management
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate documentation of access management configurations and procedures
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with IT teams, security teams, and application owners to ensure access management aligns with business needs
- Troubleshooting and Support:
- Provide technical support for access-related issues
- Troubleshoot and resolve access management problems
- Monitoring and Reporting:
- Implement monitoring solutions to track access management performance and security
- Generate regular reports on access management activities and incidents
- Continual Improvement:
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in access management
- Suggest and implement improvements to access management processes and tools
Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in access management engineering, including implementation and configuration of solutions using Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) and Ping Identity/Okta
- Proficiency in coding and scripting languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, PowerShell, or similar languages
- Strong understanding of authentication protocols (OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML) and authorization concepts
- Familiarity with cloud identity and access management (IAM) concepts and best practices
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex, distributed environments
- Knowledge of security frameworks, compliance standards, and industry best practices
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across diverse technical teams and business units
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Okta Administrator, Certified Ping Identity Professional, Microsoft Azure certifications, etc., are a plus
