About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced AWS Platform Engineer to architect, manage, and optimize cloud environments in regulated industries, including finance. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies while ensuring the security, scalability, and compliance of AWS infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage AWS cloud environments in highly regulated industries such as finance.
- Architect and deploy Kubernetes-based solutions using Amazon EKS, Istio service mesh, and Kong API Gateway.
- Implement and manage security solutions with tools like Dynatrace, Fortigate, and AWS-native security services (e.g., Security Hub, GuardDuty, WAF).
- Lead efforts in Privileged Access Management (PAM) to ensure secure management of sensitive cloud resources.
- Develop and automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Design and implement monitoring and observability solutions integrating tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana, and Prometheus.
- Ensure AWS environments meet security frameworks, compliance standards, and best practices (e.g., GDPR, FCA, PRA).
Key Skills & Experience:
- 6+ years of hands-on experience managing AWS cloud environments, especially in regulated industries like finance.
- Proven expertise in EKS, Kubernetes, Istio, API Gateway, and container orchestration.
- Deep experience with AWS security tools (e.g., GuardDuty, Security Hub, WAF) and security frameworks.
- Expertise in Privileged Access Management (PAM) and securing privileged actions in cloud environments.
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) for cloud automation.
- Familiarity with monitoring solutions like Dynatrace, Grafana, Prometheus, and Fortigate.
- AWS Certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, Security, or DevOps) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of networking and compliance in the AWS environment (GDPR, FCA, PRA).
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with container security scanning tools (e.g., Trivy, Aqua Security).
- Knowledge of hybrid cloud security practices.
- Familiarity with serverless technologies (e.g., AWS Lambda, API Gateway) and their security best practices.
