Overview
The AWS DevOps role plays a critical part in our organization, as it involves ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of our cloud-based infrastructure. This position is essential for maintaining seamless delivery and deployment processes for our applications and services, ultimately supporting our overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement AWS cloud infrastructure architectures
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing
- Write scripts for automation of manual tasks
- Manage and monitor infrastructure utilizing AWS services
- Implement and manage containerization using Docker and Kubernetes
- Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform
- Collaborate with development and IT teams to ensure smooth operations
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and perform root cause analysis
- Implement and manage security and compliance measures
- Conduct performance tuning and optimization
- Participate in on-call rotation and incident response
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members
- Stay updated with new AWS features and best practices
- Ensure backup and disaster recovery processes are in place
- Document infrastructure and processes
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role
- Strong understanding of AWS services and best practices
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like CloudWatch, ELK, or Prometheus
- Knowledge of networking and security concepts in AWS
- Ability to troubleshoot system and network issues
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Relevant AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) preferred
- Understanding of agile and DevOps methodologies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
