Overview:
Visionet is seeking a skilled AWS Data Architect to join our hybrid team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering and architecture, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in AWS data architecture and multiple end-to-end implementations. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for continuous learning.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement robust data pipelines for handling large datasets (> 100 TB).
- Develop and maintain scalable data engineering solutions using PySpark, and orchestrate workflows with tools such as Airflow or Prefect.
- Architect and optimize data warehouses using AWS services like Redshift and Snowflake.
- Utilize SQL for data manipulation and querying.
- Leverage AWS services including EC2, Lambda, S3, and IAM to build and manage data infrastructure.
- Incorporate data management and governance best practices, including metadata management, security, and data observability.
- Provide thought leadership and technical direction to the team, ensuring best practices and innovative solutions are applied.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, facilitating smooth project execution.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to learning new skills and technologies relevant to the role.
Qualifications:
- Proven expertise in data engineering, particularly with PySpark, data orchestration (Airflow/Prefect), and data warehousing (Redshift/Snowflake).
- Strong experience in AWS data architecture with at least 2 years of hands-on experience and multiple successful implementations.
- Demonstrated experience in building data pipelines for large-scale datasets (exceeding 100 TB).
- Proficiency in AWS services including EC2, Lambda, S3, and IAM.
- Desirable experience in data management and governance, including metadata, security, and data observability.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to learn new skills quickly and apply them effectively.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to provide direction and mentorship to the team.
