About the Role:
The AWS Cloud Engineer would need to have at least 4+ years of experience. As the AWS Cloud Engineer,
you will participate in the creation and maintenance of development, test and production environments
with a goal of high availability, fault-tolerance and scalability. You will also be responsible for
implementing continuous integration and deployment of code to the cloud hosted environments to
accelerate development and reduce manual effort.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Configure and maintain application servers and processes, including monitoring of system health
and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security
2. Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities
3. Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems
4. Provision and manage cloud-based services
5. Support development and QA across various projects to satisfy their day to day needs
6. Reviewing system and application logs, looking for any potential issues and verifying completion
of scheduled jobs
7. Periodically monitor system performance and capacity to provide input for needed expansion or
alternative configurations to support additional storage, database capacity, or web server capacity
needs
8. Managing and implementing large scale distributed systems
9. Independently analyse, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-toend
10. Gather regular performance statistics using automated scripts or tools and present to reporting
manager upon request or agreed regular intervals
11. Perform Root Cause Analysis of major incidents and recurring problems with web and database
services and recommend and implement corrective actions.
Desired skills:
1. General understanding of AWS cloud computing services and cloud computing delivery models
(IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS)
2. Experience designing and building web application environments on AWS, including services such
as EC2, S3, ELB, CloudFront, RDS MySQL / Aurora, API Gateway, Route 53 etc.
3. Experience with Linux and Windows Server system administration
4. Fluent in Apache web servers and Nginx
5. Experience writing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), using tools like CloudFormation.
6. Experience in troubleshooting distributed systems
7. Experience working on high traffic B2C or B2B websites
Exposure or familiar with some of these :
technologies: Redis, Memcache, Java, Jenkins, Git and REST API's
