Purpose of the Perticular Role:
- This is a very pivotal role in Neptunus by being the technical authority for all teams, managing the technical accuracy of sites, spearheading people development initiatives and capability building.
- This role is critical in ensuring the growth and success of the organisation by nurturing talent, enhancing capabilities, and identifying opportunities for business expansion.

#1 Provide Technical Solutions and Support for projects to ensure Business revenue targets are met, ensure zero
rework, zero delays and high Customer Delight on every job.
- Lead Team of Project Engineers who will support the Sales and operations team for technical matters throughout the entire enquiry to invoice workflow.
- Working with Customers to understand scope, validating parts list, documenting Technical Requirements, validation Work Completion Reports of the project keeping in mind Neptunus philosophy of optimising parts list. This will ensure no rework and errors.
- Provide guidance and decisions on technical issues to all functions across Neptunus offerings- Engine models such as CAT, MAN, Wartsila, Niigata, EMD engines, different thruster models such as Nakashima, Kawasaki, Niigata and technology products such as Engine Condition Monitoring System, Oil Quality Management Systems.
#2 Drive Continual Improvement in Delivery to reduce time by to day every site compared to the Bar Chart.
- Work on corrective actions from past learnings, site debrief and customer interactions so that Quick Service can become a competitive advantage. Build capability through upgradation, adoption and training of technology and tools such as Condition Monitoring Systems.
#3 Build Capability, Develop People and Plan for Succession
- Design and execute training and development programs to enhance skills and competencies of Service Team members based on competency framework
- Establish and monitor career development plans for Service Team members, providing them with growth opportunities within the organisation.
- Hire and onboard fresh talent so that there is constantly a pipeline of fresh ideas, skill and perspectives within the team and strong succession planning

- Evaluate and integrate potential suppliers, capabilities, and partnerships to enhance our service offerings Stay updated on the latest advancements in engineering, marine, oil & gas, industrial, and defence sector and bring ideas to the table
What Does The Role Not Include
The role does not include any logistical, coordination, pricing and commercial related matters related to regular site deputation. This is handled by the Service operations and commercial operations team as of now.
Knowledge / Skills / Behaviors - Must have (M) / Nice to Have (N)
Knowledge ( Functional and Non- Technical)
- Strong Knowledge of internal combustion engine - operation, repair & maintenance, retrofits. 5+ years of hands-on experience on medium speed and high speed diesel engines and 3-5 years of managerial experience. This must translate into decision making ability.
- Basic knowledge of automation, electrical and control systems to know how it influences engine operation
- 4-5 years of work experience in a fast paced industry such as Marine, Ship Repair, Oil & Gas Drilling
- Knowledge of propulsion systems

- Good Communication in verbal and written English to be able to communicate information clearly and translate knowledge into a written report and on Customer requirements.(M)

Challenges Of The Role
- Adapting to changing and requirements priorities of Customers during a project on site. (example: scope changes, bar plan changes)
- Ever increasing Customer expectation in quality, velocity and cost from their service provider. Therefore we need to respond quickly, find solutions by coordinating internally or externally with technical experts.
- Finding a balance between optimizing parts and finding no shortfall when a project starts.
- Art of raising RED FLAGS - that affecting QVC has to be timely and proactively

- External: Customer or customer Reps - Including Foreign Nationalities - India / Abroad.
