Job Introduction
Looking for dynamic problem solver Project managers who can deliver complex projects by collaborating with business and Ops teams. The person has to be self-starter and should be able to carry a project from inception to delivery.
Principal Responsibilities
Manage the development and implementation of IT projects:
.Analyse user requirements and come up with a blue print of feasible systems solution. Lead the clear choice exercise wherever applicable.
.Manage the full systems development life cycle (or project life cycle) from approved Clear Choice to Implementation to ensure business requirements are met or exceeded, on time and within budget in line with business targets
.Define Critical Success Factors (CSFs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other objectives that must be met by the project
.Create project plans using group standard tools
.Produce effective progress reports for assigned projects to keep management apprised of project status, major issues, scope changes, resource changes and milestone achievements or misses
.Facilitate and chair regular project meetings and follow up with team members as required to focus on business and operational issues or technical issues, documenting, assigning and monitoring all project issues to ensure clearance with minimal impact to project progress
.Ensure that problems are managed and escalated efficiently with the minimum disruption to the business
Manage the collaboration with business, IT and external parties (for projects managed by INM SWD)
.Identify and engage all key stakeholders, contributors and business and technical resources that must participate in the assigned projects and ensure contributors are committed to complete assigned tasks within parameters of the project plan
.Participate in the management of the relationship between the business and the IT Project team, managing business expectations and negotiating compromise
.Exhibit a team approach to project delivery with an inclusive approach to decision-making and planning
.Report progress and problems to management
.Use negotiation skills when problems arise to achieve consensus amongst all project participants
.Facilitate appropriate decision making to resolve issues and manage risk in order to keep the project on plan
.Ensure accurate effort and expenditure figures are provided to IT Finance and Relationship Management
.Ensure the Project Sponsor is informed of budget expenditure against expected expenditure
.Engage and manage relationships with third party suppliers
Contribute to the smooth running of IT systems
.Investigating and resolving problems arising in connection with IT services
.Manage the resolution of live issues with the minimum disruption to the business
.Maintain and ensure due observance of HSBC Internal Control Standards, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal / external auditors and external regulators. Ensure awareness of compliance requirements and implementation of Group Compliance Policy
.Maintain awareness of operational risk including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting in accordance with section 4 of the Group Operations FIM.
.Develop a good level of understanding of the appropriate business systems of the Group and their associated IT project management requirements.
.Leading by example and pro-actively seeking support from three lines of defence
Role Requirements / Education Qualifications / Certifications / Experience:
.Graduate / Post graduate with certifications like PMP, CSM, PMI-ACP.
.6 - 8years of IT background with 2 to 3 years in senior position preferably in BFSI or Ecommerce segment.
.Strong project management skills and management of development, maintenance and support teams.
.Working knowledge of application server / middleware technologies.
.Development, Production Support experience on Java platforms and technologies like HTML 5.
.Good know howof internet / mobile security / PCI -DSS /PKI /SSL encryption etc etc
.Good know how on workflow and document management systems e.g. Omniflow.
.Good know how on the AADHAAR/EKYC ecosystem.
.Working knowledge of Integration technologies like XML, WSDL, ISO8583, Messaging, OFX,
.Should be familiar with networks both Lan/ WAN/Load balancing/Routing.
.Should have implemented Internet facing application or Mobility application in BFSI or Retail segment .
.Understanding and hands on knowledge of designing performance/load/stress testing strategies and test cases.
.Familiarity/ understanding of Network Security technologies like Firewall, DMZ, SSL, etc.
.Experience of having worked with Database technologies like Oracle DB, SQL Server, etc
.Candidates require to be with good communication skills, positive attitude and preferably with certification in the technologies mentioned above.
