Job Summary
This role is within the Corporate and Investment Banking business (CIB). CIB business has a footprint across the globe with an annual >USD11 bn revenue and risk weighted assets around USD140bn. The asset portfolio comprises a wide variety of financial instruments. The Business Performance Operations finance team supports the CFOs providing financial insights and performance and tracking progress of strategic initiatives. The incumbent is expected to have forward looking mindset.
The AVP Country Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) is a key Leadership role within Business Performance Operations which delivers Business Partnering and FP&A to Country Heads on performance management.
Broad areas covered within this role include
- Functional Owner on FP&A deliverables for the Country
- Drive business performance conversation with the Country Heads.
- Deliver Standard MI to Country and ensure consistency across all markets and provide actional insights to the business.
- Strategic direction and oversight of creating and leveraging standardised Performance Reporting through digital assets
- Drive implementation of Bank's strategic initiatives, shaping the future design of processes and the requirements for the new technology.
- Strong understanding of CIB business and leadership skills with experience in leading high-performing teams.

Being a Effective Finance Business Partner, Responsible To Provide
- Standard Performance MI with insights on current performance
- Analytics Deep dive on Business Performance to drive consistent and sustainable above and beyond business performance
- Partnership with Business Heads and CFOs to drive and manage Country Performance via agreed metrices
Processes
Being a Functional owner of the FPA process, responsible for:
- Implementing industry best practices on Performance Management, Forecasting and Business Analytics
- Driving Continuous process improvement which drives efficiency and better control in all the FP&A
- Collaborating with other Business Performance leads to ensure standard and consistent MI is delivered to business across CIB
People & Talent
- To lead, inspire and motivate the teams ensuring that everyone achieves their potential and that the team delivers its collective agenda
- Enhance overall culture of the organisation, with improved My Voice scores, through targeted actions
- Build and execute a People Engagement strategy that encompasses timely & relevant updates as well as social engagement to improve overall employee well being

Risk Management
- Represent BPO in-Service Review engagements with CFOs, provide management insights and address any CFO level actions from the Review meetings
- Act to minimize operational loss and audit failures and take proactive measures to respond to matters arising and identify and manage forward looking risks.
- Through assignment of direct and indirect reports, establish and maintain an appropriate framework and procedures for monitoring, identifying, measuring, assessing, reporting, and managing compliance, regulatory, financial crime, operational and reputational risks
Governance
- Build and review Governance framework around Standard MI, internal controls, adherence to policy to adherence to agreed risk appetite.
Regulatory & Business Conduct

Qualifications
- MBA, CA, CFA, ACCA with a minimum of 10 years of experience (post qualification) in a financial service industry with at least 5+ years of People Management experience
Additionally, the following skills sets are a key to success of the incumbent:
- Strong business interface, ability to connect macro economics with P&L and Balance Sheet
- Avid reader of current and ongoing trends in global markets
- Lead multiple initiatives in Banking business finance e.g. RWA management, balance sheet management, ideas to generate revenue
- Strategic mindset and with a good understanding of FP&A activities pertaining to Corporate and Investment Banking business.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to make decisions.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills in networking and influencing decisions taken in the business and in infrastructure teams.
- Excellent business judgment, operational control management and risk assessment.
- Experience in change and programme management and self-awareness to adopt varying approaches for different stakeholder dynamics.
