Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Car Workshop Service Advisor. As a Service Advisor, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and managing all aspects of the customer's experience in our car workshop. Your primary role will be to assist customers in diagnosing their vehicle issues, recommending appropriate services and repairs, and coordinating the scheduling and execution of repairs with our technicians. Your ability to communicate effectively, build rapport with customers, and provide accurate and timely information will be crucial to the success of this role.
Responsibilities:
Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, establishing rapport and understanding their automotive service needs.
Listen attentively to customer concerns and perform a comprehensive vehicle inspection to accurately identify required repairs or maintenance.
Explain repair and maintenance options to customers, providing detailed estimates, timeframes, and recommendations.
Prepare accurate and itemized service quotes, ensuring clear communication of costs, warranties, and additional services.
Coordinate the scheduling and allocation of repair jobs to the appropriate technicians, taking into account workload, expertise, and availability.
Maintain regular communication with customers throughout the repair process, providing updates on the status of their vehicles, additional findings, and any delays or changes to the estimated completion time.
Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally, resolving issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
Upsell additional services or maintenance packages based on manufacturer recommendations or customer vehicle history.
Collaborate closely with the workshop team to ensure efficient workflow, timely completion of repairs, and accurate documentation of services performed.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety guidelines and company standards.
Stay up-to-date with automotive industry trends, new technologies, and manufacturer recalls or service bulletins.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training in automotive service or related field is preferred.
Proven experience in a similar role as a Service Advisor or Customer Service Representative in an automotive workshop or dealership setting.
Strong knowledge of automotive systems, repairs, and maintenance practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and establish rapport with customers.
Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on delivering a positive experience throughout the entire service process.
Solid organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple customer inquiries and repair orders simultaneously.
Proficient computer skills, including experience with automotive service software and databases.
Detail-oriented mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends based on business needs.
