Position: Automation Tester with Kafka and Backend Testing

Experience Level: 6+ years

Location: Bangalore

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement automated test suites for backend systems, focusing on Kafka and backend testing.
• Conduct API testing and integration testing to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies and ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
• Utilize Java programming language for test automation and scripting.
• Execute and automate functional, regression, and performance tests.
• Identify and report defects, and work closely with development teams to troubleshoot issues.

Required Skills:

• Proven experience as an Automation Tester with expertise in Kafka and backend testing.
• Strong proficiency in Java programming for automation purposes.
• Hands-on experience with API testing and integration testing methodologies.
• Solid understanding of automation frameworks and tools.
• Experience in designing and executing automated test suites for complex systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and practices.
• Familiarity with performance testing tools and techniques.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively interact with stakeholders.

Education and Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in automation testing and Kafka will be advantageous.
